It first start with the creation of the digital twin of Jazzelle Zanaughtti. We 3D scan them and then went true a long process of look development in order to have the most photorealistic result. Jazzelle’s instagram (@uglyworldwide) was full of ressources that Tom Wandrag and I used true out the process.

Jazzelle went to ShowStudio a couple of times to create the makeups looks for the collection. Everything was carefully captured in video in order to give enough references to Tom to make the digital version of the makeups.

Nick as developed, over the time, a unique way of lighting Jazzelle that we had to match in our digital scene. We had multiple sessions and reviews with Nick about placement of the lights and camera. Attention to details is key.

We received almost 200 digitals traits made by digital fashion designers. The difficulty was that every designer have there one way of creating 3D and rendering them. So for each trait, we remade all the shaders and 1-1 match the look dev originally made by the designer.

The hair where hand made at ShowStudio by Eugene Souleiman. Same for the nails crafted by . Then  3D scan these objects using photogrammetry. He also used this technique to scan some outfits. We processed the datas and then fit these elements onto .

There's also a process of sculpting that happened. Where seat with and start sculpting Jazzelle's body inside of . This result of 280 sculptings that we integrate into some of the Ikon.We where now ready to create the combinasions.

Around 30000 Ikons have been rendered and each of them have been reviewed by us and curated by Nick until the moment we had the 8000 wanted for the collection.

Thank to the pipeline and I had develop, we where now able to track and tell which trait was present in each Ikon. This gives us the power to double check if there where no twin in the collection.
